Curator Cat: Moving Forward When You're Motivated by Naps!

Greetings, Fine Felines and Hoomans of Blurtlandia!

It's amazing how fast time goes on by, when you are not paying attention!

We were just getting started again here on Blurt, and then inertia set in, as it often does these days... and particularly in the context of cats. After all, one of the things we Felines are best known for is taking naps!

Aside from that, most of us find it challenging to stay motivated when things — in the world, in general — are not going so well. It feels too much like chasing a lost cause.

We do find a small measure of solace in knowing that cats are popular on the Internet, regardless of the geo-economic conditions of the world. People are always watching cat videos and looking at cat memes.

What I don't like so much is the proliferation of AI generated "cat video slop" depicting cats that aren't even cats. Why is everyone so hot-to-trot to make themselves obsolete?

But we're pulling ourselves out of our temporary "pity party" and moving forward, as best we can.

I think we often self-sabotage by setting goals for what we want to accomplish that are unrealistic and out of reach... and then we get down on ourselves for failing at something start started out as unattainable.

After all, you can also "get somewhere" by simply doing what you're able to, when you're able to. You may not "win" the race, but who is to say that the success of our lives is purely defined by winning?

Some of us measure quality of life by how good our naps are!
