Herbalist Survival Hack: Old Socks->Bandages and Bags
Recently, I discovered a pile of old socks in my husbands closet. They are clean and perfectly fine except they all have a hole in the heel part of the sock.
<div class="pull-left" </div Well, I took one look at this and thought, "Hey I can make poultice/plaster bandages and little cotton bags out of some of these!" I asked if I could use them and he said he wants them for rags but let me have a few. I knew I still has a roll of twine and so off I went down to my desk in the basement to have some fun with my new project. <br <div class="pull-right" </div <br <br <br I cut the sock above and below the heel. I set the top part aside as it is now complete. <br <br <br <div class="pull-right" </div
<div class="pull-left" </div Just slide the herbs under the sock/bandage. <br <br <br Now onto making the bags........ <br <br I folded over the top and sewed a little tunnel for the twine so it can slide freely for opening and closing the bag. I left space for the twine to exit. <br These bags are multifunctional bags. I can use them for collecting especially seeds and small berries. I can put heated herbs in them to be used as a compress. I can even put ice in them as use them as an ice pack. For herbal first aid, it is a multi-functional item Handy to have around. <br <br <div class="pull-right" </div <br WASTE NOT, WANT NOT!!!!!!
