Inside the Lord of the Rings Balrog Book Nook

This new Lego Lord of the Rings Balrog Book Nook set includes 910 pieces. It doesn’t sound like much, but when you see them all on the table, it seems like a mountain. You’ll see many small bricks, small flames, arches and pieces in dark colors. There are parts that are so tiny you could misplace them if you’re not paying attention.

Knowing how to do it doesn’t mean the job will be fast. The guides walk you through every step, but you never know what you might get at the end. Instead of only making a model, you’re actually contributing to an old story. Remember Gandalf, the bridge and the Balrog as it emerged from underneath the fire.

It’s definitely not common to turn large parts of a movie into something that can fit on a shelf. That’s the main goal of Book Nook. The edge of the third book holds it and it gently lights up if you switch on the night light. It’s much like pausing a scene from Middle earth in the middle of drama.

The parts of the fire look like tiny dancers coming together. Its wings looked wide and were colored dark and thin. Gandalf is also present, with his staff in hand, but since he’s so small you might miss him.

It’s common for some to think that Lego is only a toy for kids. Building something like this makes you realize you need to slow down. You notice finer points of what you are doing. Your hands sometimes do things you didn’t realize you remember.

910 bricks don’t only make an outline. They become part of your experience and you remember that experience quietly as you continue reading.
