Hi Blurt Peeps!

I'm still around and checking in once in a while. I dont have a whole lot of free time to be social like I used to. When I'm on a social site it's literally in and out in seconds. You have the best chance to catch me on Matrix or just dm/email if you really need me.

I got a promotion at the day job so my responsibilities quadrupled literally overnight a couple of months ago. Since I'm a big fan of irl stuff social media has taken a back seat on the day to day activities for me.

Still doing the radio show and pounding out the message music as you can probably see. Been learning a lot of new things with programming and using AI tools for productivity in just about everything for the day job. The company pays for Google Gemini Pro and when I tell you that thing can do a lot, believe me, it's A LOT!

I can feed it a ton of data and stats from through out the past year and just start asking for reports and fancy looking charts and it spits it them out in minutes. Of course it is an AI, so a real human me still has to go back through and check and verify the results. But it's getting them correct about 90% of the time so far. It has been an amazing time saver for me. So much so I sprung for Gemini Pro on my personal account and that has been able to help me keep the radio show/podcast going during all this time crunch for me.

I mentioned programming earlier, here is what I made. It is a Linux app but it's written in Python so I image you can run it on pretty much anything if you can get matchering-cli to install. The program I wrote is a graphical user interface for matchering-cli. It's called "Simple Mastering GUI" or SMG for short. You can check it out here. I created it because I was tired of typing commands in the terminal to master my songs and podcast episodes. You feed it two files. One that is a fully mastered one to use as a reference and then the second file is the target. It will make your target audio file match RMS, Frequency Response, peak amplitude and stereo width of your reference file. It has made the night and day difference in my mastering process of the podcast and music audio.
